Grip tape certain spots, I did for my sliders

 

Honestly you're not going to wheel the fuck out of this thing so RC should do just fine for you. Make sure to get one of those spray can grips so you have better control of the paint and your hand doesn't cramp up. Spray from about 6-8inches away and do multiple lighter coats so you don't get a paint run. There you go.
