Heard a lot about rust issues, where should I check for rust, and how do I determine if its actually risky rust, or just normal 10 year old truck rust? Thanks!

The frame is where I would look first especially if you live where the salt the roads.

Look at the boxed section near the catalytic converters. Also, look at the cab mounts directly behind the front wheels.

Okay thanks, Ill check tomorrow, I'll maybe post some pics and see what you guys think, thanks for the info. I know it didn't look bad when I was changing oil, but I didn't know about the rust issues so I wasn't looking very hard.

You can take it to a dealer and ask to have it inspected. Toyota certified my frame late last year.

Can I ask how many miles and what you paid for your 07? I'm gonna be putting mine on the market soon.
    Thanks

Yeah no problem! First though you said bring it to a dealer, will they still certify it? And what exactly does it mean that they certified it?
I paid $16,500 for the double cab 4x4 with 105,000 miles, I'd been looking forever for a deal like this and the day he listed it (listed at 17,100) we drove down and picked her up! It does have some scratches in it, but mechanically it is fantastic.

    Hey Jake,
The dealer will sign off and give you a certificate the frame is sound. I really don't know what it gets you except a possible selling point and reassurance the frame doesn't need replacement.
Thanks too for the info. I'll be selling my 07 AC OR in a few weeks and am trying to get a sense of what to ask.
