    Very nice! I have never turned a pen, but I've made a lot of turkey calls (trumpets). I've used a lot of exotic woods and really like a CA finish. Generally, I use at least 20 coats, wet sand to 3000, then buff. They turn out like they are coated in liquid glass. I'll post pics of a couple in a minute.

    No kit. I do them one at a time, free-handed on the lathe. The mouthpieces are made from elephant ivory, or water buffalo horn and the brass ferrules are made from rifle shell casings and most are chemically aged. All done by me, from scratch.
