So my uncle calls me and tells me he heard a weird noise while driving his 2010 access cab. It was originally a Canada truck, but does not have bad rust. The frame looks great. He was driving with an empty bed, no load and this happened... Middle two leaves (leafs?) snapped right in the middle and slide forward past the hanger several inches. And no I don't approve of his temporary zip tie repair haha.

He took it to the dealer (after driving it a couple days this way) and had it replaced. I don't know if they replaced both sides or not. He already has 4-leaf packs. I'm not familiar with TSBs and recalls on the 2010 as I have a 2007. Just wanted to share...

I had one of my main leafs snap. Luckily it didn't happen while I was driving.

I had the TSB done on my old 2010 ac. But also received a recall on the rear leafs. Not sure if they were also recalling the TSB that I had done.

My 07 was on the rear leaf spring recall list. Truck was stolen before it could be done in January

I was actually removing it when it happened. Both of my AALs had broken, and I was replacing both leaf packs. It was probably cracked, and split as I loosened the bolt. The rest of the leaf is still attached to the bushing.

I took my truck to my dealer almost a year ago and was put on a waiting list to have mine replaced. Went back 3 months ago to make sure they hadn't forgotten me and was told with any luck they'll get to my truck sometime in 2017. But not to be surprised if it weren't into 2018.

I was just thinking "damn lucky it wasn't a main leaf" and here you are with a broken main leaf. :annoyed:

I'm also a victim. I decided Deavers were a good replacement.
