I don't have to do anything in this truck, I think it's a weight thing. I can't or don't know how to turn it off on this truck. He gets in buckles into the booster seat and dash reads air bag off. I would say just try a trip around the block.

I hate that shit. Every time I go to the store I have to buckle the passenger seat cuz the damn chime goes off constantly.

I always forget to ask when I take it in but they're useless. I've asked 3 times to get my turn signal changed to 5 clicks instead of 3 when signaling with the half way mark. Never gets done.

didnt know you could do that. I always thought the 3 clicks was never enough either.

Because there's other groceries in the back seat. I'd rather have them up front so they're not sliding around.

I believe the options are 3, 5, or 7. The last time I went the other guy in the office said he was going to go do it right now. Saw him get up and go out but it wasn't done. 3 just isn't enough, 5 should be the minimum. By the time you start changing lanes the signal is off, it doesn't make much sense.

If there's other groceries you could use the groceries as beer holders to the valuables don't slide around. Or the floor, rubber floor mats don't allow beer to slide. You need to play more tetris. Maybe the 2nd gens are superior and we can chalk this up to a 3rd gen problem.

(... even though the cabs are damn near identical...)

I usually never have beer in the front seat. isnt that pretty much asking for some sort of ticket if pulled over?

Well I also have my recovery gear box in the back seat which takes up a good amount of room. But it's not always just beer haha. If I load up the car for camping and put a backpack up there it goes off. When my dog decides he wants to ride shotgun it goes off. It's pretty finicky. It's easy enough to turn off (if those lazy fucks at Toyota would actually listen and do it when requested). If I had the tools I'd do it myself, but I'm not going to drop a couple hundred on one of their readers/code clearers/whatever they use to turn it off haha.

A 24 case of bottles will trip it. It's still sealed and fresh from the store

I usually put the case of beer on the floor of the back seats. I have the rubber floor mats so it doesn't slide.

The issue for me is that nothing fits behind my seat on the floor cuz I have to have my seat all the way back. And on the other side I have a tool box that fits nicely on the ground haha.
