    Looks great!

Was asking because I tried my swr meter this afternoon and it reads 3:1 or higher, wich could be a ground problem but made a few research and I should be well grounded... I might try to grind the paint to have better ground, if it doesn't work I'll look at a new antenna

I had such a hard time tuning mine. No matter what I did my meter always gave me a shit reading. Everything can affect the swr. Doors open, too close to a building, tree in the way, fart in the wind....everything.

Lol!! I will try it in a field or in an empty parking lot. I can have many things to consider in my bad reception. Old cb that was gave to me, same for antenna, both can be shot lol

Thats one thing that I have never been able to understand is the radio stuff. Oh well. Hope it works out for ya without costing too much.

I'm running a cobra 75. Missing some features but the whole cb is in the microphone which was nice small package. Easy to install.

Yeah I kinda like those too. Do you know how far you reach?

The more I search and the more I see that cb radios are complicated!

We have to keep this thread alive! What's up for you guys?

I ordered a 5' tunable firestick for my cb this week. Hope to see it at the door today! Can't wait to have the cb well tuned

Nice, but why not to have second battery under the hood?

No room for the battery in the hood so I put it in the bed. Plus weight wise it's a little be better distributed. Get some weight off the front end.

It has taken a lot of time to make it work. The side tool boxes are great for this kind of thing. Don't take up too much real estate compared to a tool box in the bed. They are still a pain though.

Me and my awesome luck! Stripped the bolt that hold the cb antenna bracket... had to cut it and screw it through to take it out. Now I have to re tap...

Was trying to install some mounts which have the bolts on the back side of the dash. So you tighten them down and your good to go. However the nuts at the back came untrappped and were spinning. Couldn't tighten or loosen. Fuck.

Very carefully with the drill, drilled out the heads. Still melted some pieces of the radio bezel....:annoyed::facepalm::frusty::itllbuffout:

Damn! I hate it when thing goes that way! And it seems to happen often for me! I took out the hacksaw and finished it with the visegrip!
