The intermittent wiper switch change was as easy as can be. Two screws, two wiring plugs and one plastic clip to pry slightly upward to remove the old switch. There is a post on doing this here on Tacoma World.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/2016-3rd-gen-intermittent-wiper-mod.397942/

The instructions are clear, concise and simple to follow. It took as long to read the instructions as it took to change the switch!

Yes, that is a Leer 180. The hold-downs insert right into the rails and take up no space at all in the bed. The visors are made by AVS and are available on Amazon.

What cap did you put on your truck? Looking to put one on my Tacoma as soon as it comes in. Should be here in a couple of weeks.

Hi Richard, Thank you, could you take a measurement from the bed of the truck to the top of the Cap? I am debating between the Leer 180, the ARE MX, and the Snug Top. I am going to use the cap to sleep in, so am looking for a little more height. Leer does not make the 122 for the 3rd Generation Tacomas. Thank you. Jim

This plus MT would almost be enough for me to trade my '16 for a '17. I wonder how much of a $$ hit I'd take, at 33K miles.

Nice truck, 4cyl manual should last a loooong time. Be sure to change the diff & trans fluids every 30k, switch to synthetic for the engine.

I'm at 160,000 miles so far, the only issue has a bad wheel bearing. Still on original brakes (gotta love a manual trans...), clutch, etc. and on 2nd set of tires.

Absolutely the most reliable, lowest depreciation, and lowest maintenance costs of virtually anything on the road!
