The question is that if you look up local sex offenders, does your address tell your neighbors that you are one?

I tried that, it doesn't show up on the website I used. I'm not sure how to locate it.

really, it's all funny, but don't make any specific "since you are this" jokes. I don't mind the jokes, but the mods may not look at all of the convo and realize one comment is a joke

It probably doesn't have to be disclosed.

On that subject, my wife and I have some friends that bought a really cool house with 6 acres or so. Well, after they bought the house and started cutting some trails in the woods behind the house they noticed a large upright rectangle object. After some clearing the figured out what they had found. A tombstone! Turns out there is a rather large cemetery on their property. It is from the era when plantations had their own burial grounds located on their property. You can clearly tell which ones are family and which ones are slaves. The slaves graves are unmarked tombstones, small and in some cases only an upright rock. Of course the family members graves are large and ornate. The realtor didn't speak a word of any of this. I would think a cemetery on premises is a pretty big deal. I'll try to find some pics I took.

And you guessed it, our friends do have things that go bump in the night. Lightning has struck the house and property 3 times since they have lived there. Also there are muddy hand prints on the eve of the house that you can only get to with a ladder. They are hand prints of a child. They have painted over them more than once but the prints still show back up. Nothing violent has happened though. The doorbell will ring but no one is there. The dogs will bark and growl at nothing.

As much as I want to say I don't believe in that stuff, there's no way I'd live on a lot with a cemetery. That's just crazy...

lol that one made me chuckle.

I would like to see evidence of those occurrences at that house. @Toyotacrawler tell them to set up a camera and paint over the handprints and leave the camera running till the prints show back up.

Yea I couldn't live there either. My immediate reaction is that somebody is playing a joke on them but I don't see how. The closest neighbor is a 1/4 mile away. Not to mention you have to get past their dogs.

Haha I'm sure they would if you knew them.

They might need to go house shopping before they try the video thing.

That is possible. They do have a cat that doesn't get spooked or hiss. It could be a neighbor just joshing with em. Of course that could get ugly as well.
