I have a 2010 TRD sport with leveling kit installed and a little bigger tire on stock rims. I am experiencing shaking in my steering wheel!!! What is the possible cause and fix?

    # 1 thing to do is be sure the front tires are properly balanced.

Easy test is to rotate the fronts to the rear and see if the shake moves.

What speeds do you get a vibration? Balance is usually a high speed vibration not low speed.

Is it during braking? Also how many miles on the tires?

Might retorque your wheels, the tire shop probably cranked them down with an impact and warped the rotor. 90ft/lbs is factory spec. I had a 2015 that constantly had steering wheel shake at 55-65mph. 2 sets of tires, road force balancing, front end alignment and never could get rid of it.

20-40 mph won't be balance, if it's when braking, it's most likely the brakes. Do you feel shake in pedal, steering wheel or seat?

That's also the specific speed range the Needle Bearing causes vibrations asnd grinding in 4x4 Tacomas. But that's not in the steering wheel.

I'd say poor tire balance or alignment issue.

Rebalanced and re aligned multiple times already and still no change. Only stopped for the most part after I put my stocks back on

Road Force Balancing is required. Traditional balancing doesn't always work on Tacomas.

Keep it stock and it rides as smooth as butter. 133,000 miles on mine and she rides like it's her first day ever on the road...
