Park the truck on level ground. Put it in neutral. Jack up 1 rear wheel. Turn the tire so that the valve stem is straight down. Make a mark on the ground that lines up with the valve stem. Have someone turn the tire exactly 2 turns while you watch the pinion yoke. Count the number of turns of the pinion yoke. 3 3/4 turns would be 3.73. If you had something like 5.88 it would be just shy of 6 turns.

I was under the impression that all the autos came with 3.73 and the 6 speeds came with 4.10's

Because you're only turning 1 wheel. If you want, you can jack up 1 side turn it once, set it down, jack up the other side and then turn it once. Same results.

If you already have a locker, posi, limited slip, spool, etc., then you jack up both sides and when you turn 1 wheel the other wheel will turn also. In that case, you just turn 1 time.

i4 6lugs regardless of trim and transmission came with 4.10's

    I4 5 lugs have 3.31 manual, 3.58 auto.
    X-Runners are 3.15

According to literature, Prerunners are also 3.58 if 4 cyl auto

Maybe the brochure has incorrect info... it's been known to happen in the past!

yeah that brochure is wrong for sure.

no way an i4 would be happy pushing a prerunner with 3.58's.
