no its folks pouring it on when something happens. Its folks putting down others when they talk about how they have no issues. The majority of the 3rd gen Tacomas are freaking great, there are some issues as with all makes.

Fair enough but let's be honest, there are just as many trolls on these forums:
    • calling out
    • questioning
    • saying people are lying
    • saying people are making fake accounts
    • saying "in their opinion" data showing reliability problems with the 2016's is full of crap
....when somebody posts their engine failed, or their truck stalled or they have vibration issues or .....

There are a large # of trolls on both sides.

I had a 2007 Rav4 w/ the V6. 29 mpg hiway, loved that thing. She also scooted well. Long story short lady hit me. After the initial repairs the defrost on the drivers side was not keeping same temp as passenger side. Defrost did not work correctly. Took it to original dealer. Service manager and I had a couple of rounds over this. He wouldn't fix it. Took it to another dealer. They brought in a suit who advised to take it back to original dealer. Long story short OP. If it were me I would fight them on this. At the time I had my Mom dying in a nursing home and did not have time for games. Fight them for the fix, write the company. Its your money. JMHO.

7 days total at 2 different dealerships and so far I have ended up fixing every issue I've had because they can't do anything. It's like going through a McDonalds drive through, if there isn't a picture of what you want, you're SOL.

Honestly my main beef is with the V6 optioned 3rd gens. The 2.7 3rd gens I'm quite fond of. The engine and manual trans are made in Japan. I just wished the auto trans in the double cab SR was made in Japan too.

that's fair, meanwhile coming from an 09 4 banger 5 speed, my v6 is awesome, gets equal if not better mpg than my 09 did. I am happy and don't believe that my truck is going to implode next week.
