I still have to meal prep. Just got back from the store after helping the in laws level their foundation beams and washing the runner. REKT after dealing with the headliner all day yesterday.

It was a great time. Super hot during the day, but that was mostly when we were out wheeling.

I need to get some pics uploaded. Finally found a rock to flex out the suspension on and the rear flexes like crazy now with the new springs.

Forgot to mention. We probably did over 100 miles off road this weekend. Most of it was hooning around the sand wash which was a blast. There were some rocky bits, but all the carnage we experienced the whole trip was one of the jeeps dropping off a ledge landing on it's gas tank, and I hit a rock trying to park at camp... hahaha. Seriously all the miles we put on and me trying to reposition the 4runner to set up the tent is where I messed up. Luckily, I scraped a plastic piece on my front bumper, and the jeep just dented his skid.

It was in front of me. You can see the boulder in the pic of the tent/hammock set up. I was just doing a 1000 point turn because there was a suburban right behind me lol

Our buddy whose bachelor party it was drives a 1994 white chevy 1500 with a giant tool box on the back. Bone stock, 350k miles on it. It sat in a field rusting for 5 years until he went and picked it up this year for free. Only has 1st and 3rd gear. It made the drive down to Anza from Santa Barbara, and outwheeled all of us. There was a point that we came across a small little rocky section that these jeeps were struggling through. He just drives straight through like nothing and took so much damage. The truck is already so dented and rusted that you can't even tell. Actually totally forgot to count that as the carnage from the weekend lol.

Hey I had an idea that I wanted a second opinion on. I think it would be kind of cool. In my storage area, I'm going to remove the third row seats down the line. I'm thinking of cutting out a piece of ABS to fit in there and linexing it. That way I can bolt tie downs to it and mount other items. I also am thinking about taping off everything above the black plastic in the cargo area and spraying it all down with linex. That way I have like a mini truck bed in the back that can take a beating.

Why not use a piece of plywood. That way you could use recessed shackles that would mount flush.

What about one of those 5th gen sliding platforms?

    I like the plywood idea.

The sliding platforms from toyota don't work if you remove the third row. You had to get it from factory. If I wanted that, I'd have to go through goose gear or one of the cargo companies. I've been considering it since I could get a 100% cargo slide instead of a 20% from Toyota which would be pretty slick. Just expensive

Ready to get these suckers painted

@4x4runner2002 helped score them. Listed for $300 so I emailed the guy and would've paid that. Zach then emailed him and shot a real shitty offer of $150. Once that guy got Zach's email, he told me $200 takes them.
The seller did mention how some douche offered him only $150 when I was picking them up haha
