At the next mod day would it be possible if you guys could help me install a OME lift with Dakar leaf pack and UCAs on my 1st gen? I'd prefer to do it this way that way I can meet some of you guys and learn to work on my truck. I can bring my pellet smoker and smoke some ribs or something. If not, is there any place in the central valley you guys would recommend to install the lift?

1st gens are tough because they're so old now. To prepare you should see if your nuts and bolts even come free.

The rule is that you have to be able to drive your truck home at the end of the day.

I'm going to assume Central Valley means somewhere between Bakersfield and Sacramento.

I'm in Modesto. About 80 miles south of Sacramento about 80 miles north of Fresno. Middle of no where.

I can host, only one problem. I don't have any tools :/

A lot of crap and too much money spent
I'm in Manteca, I haven't worked on a first gen yet but I did install my front / rear and ucas on my second gen. I'm sure there are others that could help as well. Like others have mentioned most dudes are more than happy to help wrench on someone's truck.

Usually that's not a to big a problem. As long as you have a home, a driveway, garage, plenty of power, and smoked meat.

Everyone else can bring some gear. We have plenty of folks in the central valley area.

    Sounds like a plan

I'll be purchasing the lift here in the next week or so and then we can go from there, find a day that works best for everyone that is willing to come. Hopefully we can get it after it before it starts getting to hot in the valley

    Thanks for the tip @kalieaire!

Sweet, maybe I can join you Central Valley guys! Or anyone up to get another one going in the East Bay? Or if I host one (Union City), it can be a weekend in May June July.
