Had a little issue with the CBI skid plate and my Pelfrey bumper. The bumper lays flat across the front cross-member and the skid curls up around the crossmember. Two options: 1.) sandwich the skid under the bumper, 2.) modify the skid. I choose option #2 for quick disassembly in the field.

The crossmember is concaved a little in the middle, so I cut off the ends of the plate lip where it wraps around. This way I can slide the middle portion of the skid lip in the slit between the crossmember and the bumper:

I also had to cut a bit off the side lip towards the rear. I did this so I could slide the plate back enough to fit the front of the skid between the bumper and crossmember. Without this notch cut out, it hits the middle skid and you don't have enough clearance to slide the plate under the bumper.

Yeah, but I haven't had any issues before. The only one that works is the last one which is of Steve Martin and the oil cans.

The 4-banger is now loaded down with steel skids, sliders, bumper, winch, and 33s. She is tired, so tired...drivable, but tired. Saving for a re-gear and rear locker as we speak.

Raining like crazy right now, I'll get one in the morning. Feels weird leaving the 235s behind...I liked being the odd man out.

no worries raining down here in Albany NY to.
I'm eyeing 255/75R17 just because its a C-Load Tire and actually a 32 inch tall one. But the 255/80R17 is tempting to
