Can somebody link me to the thread where they mount CB's under the HVAC controls in 2nd gens

I've got a sweet deal lined up on a nice one (the one I wanted) and I want to make sure it will fit

Oh hell to the yes.

 

Cut a hole in the back of the pocket to fit the radio. Mount the radio holder to the top of the pocket. Install radio into bracket. Done.

 

Don't forget external speaker so you can actually hear CB.

Mines in the console & with the lid closed you couldn't hear it, also it wasn't very comfortable to ride with the lid open. So I added an external speaker under the dash above the gas pedal.

Can confirm. My sliders had been on 3 days and some lady whipped her door open into it so hard the Runner rocked a little bit and I thought it was going to get stuck. She was going off. Just screaming and everything. Then I put it in reverse and she flipped out and yanked her door back and got the fuck out of the way. I just laughed.
