This what happens when proper adults talk. We exchange good information.

Thanks for the info on CO2, fellas. I may make the switch now...

    ...too much shit to list.
Honestly it's nice to have both. CO2 is great for speed, air tools, and way easier to reset tire beads. But it is finite. For me it's just a CYA thing. If my compressor takes a shit for whatever reason, I can switch my locker air lines to run off CO2. If I run out of CO2, I can still fill with compressor. CO2 is generally portable as well in the event someone else needs to use it for whatever reason.

I met a guy that sells old Co2 tankes for about $30. You can turn around and swap it at AirGas for $60 or so. They are 20lb tanks but for under $100 you get a fresh tank full of Co2. Another $50 for regulator and your just about ready. @TK7692 I can pass you the info if you want.

    My Finished setup:
    Purchase off CL

what jason said. air can be used for multiple other things, and is a nice backup (or maybe the co2 is the nice backup). I am debating a small tank on hand as a backup.

    Oh and that list?

Just make sure you are with people that are prepared and you can borrow shit from, and pretend like you are backpacking but you have a huge backpack. Then put your list together for all the cool shit as you figure out what you actually need. And cool for you may not be cool for someone else, so if we all give you lists you may get something you need to replace later (cooler vs ice chest, types of fuel and water cans, types of air systems). Everyone is a expert, but really its your adventure.

Only things that you cant borrow are spare fuel (ok maybe you can if you know someone with way too many rotopax on their rig) and recovery points. Make sure you can be pulled from front and back. And make sure you can get your spare out and it is usable.

And then just have fun and start dreaming about being broke with a cool truck.

This! You don't need much to get started or going. Safety is the highest priority, and then you just add comfort.

When I hear "Overlanding" to me it's all about exploring as far as you can go safely and comfortably.

It should be a good one, I was told to prepare for mud so thick it would suck my rubber in.

    Hoping my Cooper's handle it!
