Well today was ALS Top Cop OC re-certification time at work. Fun stuff, I took a nice level 1 spray right between the eyes with stream spray for those that know what that is. That shit hurts, talk about anxiety and feeling helpless. For those that don't know what oc or top cop is the stuff we use is rated at 5 million on the scoville scale. Anyway fun times today at work. :)

I'm not sure what the CHP carries but top cop is the second strongest next to Fox which is real inconsistent in strength. Top Cop is a lot more consistent but, not common in street use.
Good luck with the academy. You will enjoy being sprayed. :)

I like being on the other end of that training- Spraying is far better than being sprayed!!

I don't miss the oc, taser day. Of course I've been on enough calls to have had the oc day all over again on the street.

I have been sprayed 3 times for training. Once in the army, once in the state police academy, and once when becoming an instructor. I have had enough of it!!!

They reformulated. It is stronger now,+ how they measure the strength of this stuff is a joke, they are now finally coming out with a better system of measure instead of human test. My eyes are still swollen and red this morning and I am on the range today. errr lol

LMAO I thought it would be fun to try as well, I have seen it used in cell extractions and been exposed that way, both level two and three but, after being sprayed level one it is no fun.

I have been sprayed 3 times. Twice for certification and once because another officer missed the bad guy. It never gets any easier. I would rather get tazed, shot with a less lethal round or punched in the face than do OC again. I am also an OC/DT and Firearms Instructor.

I concour 100%, the stuff is no joke. It is not long term debilitating, just short term mysery.
