When I had my 2.7 they didn't make one for it. That would help it out but I think turbos are the way to go on the 4 cylinder.

^ nope i think superchargers are a much better way to go. more usable power when you need it. who wants to be offroading waiting for power to spool up, shove that fucking air in their right away and get the fuck going. i used to live turbo, for cars yes. for trucks no.

I'm not sure if this is the same source that most guys over on xr-u are using. I'll ask over there and report back. Great deal if it's legit.

I know what you mean...I had a 6.0 Powerstroke Fx4 before my Taco...Everytime I went in the mud, I'd have to wait forever for the damn turbo to light...A small S/C with about 8-10psi would do great for my Taco.

That is the feedback that I left for this seller. I purchased a TRD CAI from this seller and was completely satisfied. When I saw the listing as you quoted I purchased it. In discussions with Toyota, TRD, and a visit to my dealer I realized that the TRD SC could not yet be installed on my 2010. When I brought this to the attention of the seller he was a complete dick with a "fuck you, it's you're problem. we install this on 2010's all the time" attitude hence the feedback. After letting the TRD SC and Fit Kit sit in my garage for a few months (seemed like eternity since I had dropped that kind of coin on it) TRD/Toyota finally released the ECU reflash and a new Fit Kit p/n for the 2010 on 02-04-10. At my own risk I had the dealer install my TRD SC with the Fit Kit for the 2005-2009 Tacoma and reflash the ECU with the TIF file released on 02-04-10...fortunately it was successful. The tech told me the plastic water neck coming out of the top of the engine is different on the 2010, however I cannot confirm this.

Basically the neg feedback was left because of the sellers misrepresentation (I wouldn't have purchased if it was listed as 2005-2009) and his poor attitude. However the product was genuine and BNIB. It is a smashing deal and I advise making the purchase as you definately won't go through the ordeal that I went through.

The description also says that it is not compatible with the TRD CAI but I see that the TRD CAI is listed as one of your mods.

Do you still have the TRD CAI installed w/ the Supercharger?

    Thanks again,

    ~Mark

That's cool that you're a member here and I could hear directly from the person who left the feedback!! I guess that would put my mind at ease a little. So how do you like the kit and the performance? Was it worth the money to you?

Yes, you can install the TRD CAI with the TRD S/C. Many guys run this setup just fine.

It was $850 plus tax, took two days because of a coolant leak that they had trouble with. I could have installed it myself but I wanted the warranty to last as long as possible. Since I purchased the SC through Bing Cashback I got $200 of my purchase back so I have a total of $3459.50 invested in my SC.

I removed my TRD CAI before I took it in for the SC install and reinstalled it after driving with the SC for about a week. I am much happier with the CAI. Search my previous posts for info about the TRD SC/CAI issue.

I am very satisfied with the power this truck puts down. My truck is almost what I consider the "ideal" Tacoma...how they should come from the factory. The SC is totally worth the amount I have in it as mentioned above but I doubt I would ever pay full price for it.

    YEP!
