On a side note how did they hold up over time?

 

Busted out the foam gun. Really need to spend a weekend on paint correction and sealant.

 

Swapped out the silver shifter bezel with a black one. Thanks to @gunny1005 and Camelback Toyota for the hookup.

For me it was the stupid clip-on top cover. The 2nd rear clip was against my washer reservoir and I couldn't get my finger in the right spot. Once I got a flashlight, I figured out where to pull. The mushroom cap was just a matter of jamming 4 shims under the tabs. For all the technology Toyota put into that system; you would think they would use a better filter.

 

Totally agree. Should definitely have a way better filter.

It's not the exaust itself. It's inside the cab. Mainly the rear door panel's. The rattle intensifies with the RPM climb between 18-2100. 65mph at 2k RPM dam near makes me want to drive into the center divider. I've been chasing it for three months now.

Check your jack & tire tools. I chased a rear cab rattle for a year before I saw my jack sitting on bare metal. Wrapped it in newspaper & been good since. Happy hunting.

 

No kidding, it's seriously hindering my golf game this week.

Thanks buddy. I've taken every piece out of the rear cab that you can. Seats,storage covers,door panels,ect... if it was removable, it was gone. Still rattles. The only thing left on the radar is the glass. Don't know what else it could be. Once the outside temp is or 65degrees is goes away.
