    Last time I had a rental I pissed off the insurance company.

    They wanted my car on a Tuesday to start work on it and they would give me a rental. I didn't really want it done that week because I was heading out to Brownsville for business - Thursday to Sunday and the timing of it all wouldn't work out.

    I asked them when the car would be finished because I didn't want it to be ready while I was gone. I offered the possibility of having it worked on after I arrived from Brownsville.

    No. They wanted it that Tuesday.

    Fine - When will it be finished?, they said it would be done that Monday and they assured me it wouldn't be a problem.

    So I took off that Thursday to Brownsville.

    Friday morning they called me - Your car is ready.

    Oh, I will pick it up on Monday.

    No sir, we need it now, if not you will have to pay the extra two days of rental.

    I reminded them on WHY I persisted in having it done the next week and there was no way I was paying for the rental.
