Northern Virginia Roll Call

I just moved from Hawaii (one of the worst cities for traffic in the US), and I'm driving to DC in morning rush hour traffic..... 1 truck length might as well been a football field... if there is a spot and youre waiting for more than a truck length, you'll miss turns /exits quite often.

I have to admit as well, BRO THIS IS NOVA/DC. Everyone here drives retarded. Period. I get a shakedown when I drive every time. This is what we are known for.

Don't need to validate to me brother, shit I have seen guys wreck and still not make it into the lanes. MD has a HUGE problem of this.

 

Anyone on the forum drive a silver double cap, lifted with a bed cap, and park at the park and ride in Hamilton? Drove by today and saw it, and thought, man that's a sweet lookin Taco.

Oh I get the traffic issues in this fucking town every day on my trip to DC.....

 

that's one of the main reasons I cant wait to start working in Reston instead of downtown DC... you still get SOME traffic... but it's nowhere near as bad


I miss driving in Texas.....people just pull over and let you pass or they are cruising at 80 right there with you haha

 

In all honesty man, Im impressed you arnt numb to this shit yet. I drive differently here from the rest of the US. Kill or be killed pretty much sums it up.

Im almost there..... although sometimes I have to stifle the urge to get out and cut someone... especially when people cut all the way to the front of a long ass line in a turn lane / exit ramp

Its understandable for you, shit you just got here. Hell I think @IPNPULZ has been here longer than me and I have been here over ten years. Its just the territory man. If you don't take, you get fucked by everyone...even the grandma.

 

At least you'll have the benefit of more back roads and side streets when you start working in Reston. My commute is between Ashburn and Herndon and sometimes it still takes almost 30 minutes to get to work.
