I'm looking for some cheap running boards for my truck and found these that look kind of like one of the more expensive OEM options. Does anyone have these installed on their Tacomas? I'd love to see some pictures. I want something that doesn't hang down too low and that sticks out to protect from door dings and this looks perfect. Not to mention they're only $400 with free shipping for the black ones from the running board warehouse.

If you have a DC Short bed, the Rampage boards are too long-ask me how I know. Iron Cross actually makes the ones that are on the Tacomas with SXP package, which are the ones I wound up with (same price at Runningboard Warehouse btw). See pics below:

You should take a look at that^^^.

I don't know how you feel about rock sliders and nerf step bars, but most including myself would recommend them. Rock sliders will be beneficial if you go off-road. I'm not sure about bolt-on sliders but if they're welded on you can jack them up from the side without going under the truck.

Thanks for the posts. I have a prerunner and don't do any serious wheeling. Just minor stuff when I go out shooting and stuff so sliders are not needed.

Do you have a link to the Iron Cross steps? I can't find them on the Running board warehouse site. Thanks

Glad I can help. They do look really nice too. I like the fact that it's 5" wide and powder coated black. Post some pictures after you get them

Okay.. ordered these since I plan on getting some wheelers black steelies with 285's eventually once my tires run out.

I'll post pics once they're here and installed. Ended up being around $300 on ebay and with the Bing cashback...cheaper than the OEM ones by about $30. Hopefully my grandma and midget girlfriend will be able to get in my truck again soon. Thanks for the help guys!

Here's a better pic of mine so you can see the spacing from the truck:

No, they are Ironcross as noted above. Not a real close up pic, but might help. I like them because they do provide some level of protection from door dings. They are spendy $$$ but super easy to install.
