3" old man emu suspension kit
I purchased my 2017 Tacoma from the dealership with a 3" old man emu suspension kit with 285/70/R17 all terrain Toyo tires. The truck sits from the ground to the fender 40" on back and 38 1/2" in front. Should the front be raised to match the back to 40"?
Ive taken it back to the dealership and they have cut part of the plastic fender well off in the place its rubbing. Still rubs. Any words of wisdom before I go back to the dealership?

Are you on factory tacoma wheels or aftermarket? Back spacing and offset are gonna come into play here.

Alignment can play a HUGE role in this

    Do you have aftermarket UCA's?

alot of guys have had to do a cab mount chop, hammer on the pinch welds, and lose some metal off the fenders.

What kind of tires are on the truck? That's gonna play into it along with how aggressive is the offset on the wheels and backspace of the wheels.

Do you have an specs for the wheels?

No specs on the wheels.Only know 17" Moto Metal. Should have bought it plan and lift it myself like i did my 2006 Tacoma.
Ive read some are putting the 3" suspension with a 1" body lift. Not sure the dealership will do that to get it from rubbing.
How easy would it be for them to raise the front an inch?

Don't raise more. Just trim / adjust what's getting rubbed.

Avoid the dealer. Unless they have a hobbyist on staff they'll just be guessing anyway.

I agree with this. Your at the adjustment range, where you gonna need new UCA's to get a good alignment if you go any higher. Going higher isn't really an option without $$$

I would see if the dealership would cover the cost for an off-road shop to do the trimming. You might get lucky since they had the truck built.
