Battlefield: Bad Company 2

I'll be getting it for the PC tomorrow. Doubt I'll be picking it up for the ps3. I think my stepson wants MW2 so I'll get that for him. I really dig the BF series, but I can't imagine playing any of it on a console.

 

I used to love going to the local Lan center and having big matches of Battlefield 1942. Those were the days.

 

I used to lug my pc around in my cab to different LAN parties. Now I'm lugging a 5 month old lol

Did a bit of a rage quit earlier, played for awhile. It's really hard to level btw. Got to 2, turned it off, played again later and I was back to 0! Yea, so I guess it glitched out and I got kind of pissed that my work didn't count for anything. Overall the game is a lot different than CoD, not sure what I think of it yet.

 

just got it for ps3. playing campaing, not online yet. so far so good.

 

Just curious why you would want the same game on another system??

 

BFBC2 is not Modern Warfare. that said, it's a pretty good time. online play is quite different than COD, but not in a bad way. seems to me, vehicles are the way to go most of the time. i haven't figured out how to operate them completely yet, and need to unlock some things so i can take full advantage, but flying an appache is pretty damned cool. i only got in a couple hours last night, so i'm sill getting pwned for the most part. if MW2 is a 10...i give BFBC2 an 8. i didn't try the campaign yet...might be a good idea to get familiarized.

 

Just downloaded it from Steam this morning for my PC before heading to work. I'm not sure how well my box will handle it, the requirements are pretty steep and I've got just a shade above the bare minimum. If anyone's playing the pc version and has steam here's my handle:

I installed it yesterday for PC, played some of the single player and I like it so far. I will get on the multi tonight and tomorrow night. My steam is StZu

 

Its what happens when I have both systems..(Just to make matter worst, I have two little brothers with 360s, so I have 3 copies of MW2) I have friends/family on the ps3 and they have that game.. and I have friends on the 360...

 

Played a little single player and multi player last night on the pc. Gotta say I love it, but I have to play it on the lowest settings. Looks like it's time for a graphics card upgrade. My in game is

This game made me upgrade my Video card. I had a 7900 GT with a Core 2 Duo 3.0 Ghz CPU. It would barely run the game with low settings (10 - 20 fps).

Now I bought a 250GTS and with the same processor I get 40 FPS on medium settings.

What'd the video card run you? My brother is gonna hook me up with an 8800gt. I'm running 2 7800gts right now with an AMD 4400+ and I'm dying left and right lol

 

I got it for 130 or 140. Newegg is great!

 

I havnt played it yet.. oubt i will buy it.. i have heard graphics are good.. vehicles are good, map distruction is awesome.. but the controls are fucked up and the weapon sites are garbage
