I hate that wire. I've tried a few times as a backup and that wire is dirty as fuck. I didn't realize I've gone through my other two back up schools of wire. Oh well, there's always tomorrow.

Here's another guy that did that w/o spacers, but backspacing basically got the same results

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/wills-2000-reg-cab.366038/page-6

Giant emailed me a pic. Looks like the springs come out 4 3/4" away from the frame - the u bolt clamp is probably another 1 1/2".

Will still rubs though pretty bad. Plus he isn't running very big tires

You'll barely clear the leaf springs it looks like and no way in hell you'll clear outboard shocks with a 2nd gen axle..

your bypasses aren't custom though right? Like you didn't get the tubes clocked so they wouldn't stick out towards the tire.

yea standard tube layout, ill get them clocked to the front/ coilside and normal resi on the back for when i link it. that would help a ton, then i can do 3.0s and be in the exact same thing i started with haha. instead of running spacers like i planned i might just get a fabbed housing. i talked with diamond yesterday and probably do a 72" wms axle. havent heard back from ruffstuff yet

10-4 I'll keep taking measurements and I can always run the springs under the frame if I have to. If the tundra axle mounts the springs / ubolt brackets within 7/8" of the backing plate then it won't work, otherwise 1" wheel spacers would make the limiting factor of the wheels / tires a non-issue.

@SanClemTaco I'd appreciate it a lot! I'm not going to be buying anything until early fall so keep me updated and I'll pm you about the measurements.

Shitty cell pics but here's my rub on 2.5 with a tundra axle. Probably could get more if I sucked the shock in more. Not full tuck either

Yeah looks like if you had clocked the bypasses it would be okay. Not terrible anyways, that and brought the shock in just a touch.

Same issue. Planning on redoing my bedcage/lower mounts and possibly notching the frame to stop wheel rub. Tim @ DMZ said you can get the shocks 1/2" away from the frame and they won't hit the frame

Why not just mount it on inside of the frame so you don't have to worry about running?
