That looks so similar to mine, but that looks like the Metra Kit. I had that at first until I realized the Scosche one is way better. How do you like the Metra one? Got to swap out the LED's in your heater switches. You have the green.

    Which Pioneer Deck is that?

what did you have to trim? i cannot get the Scosche kit to fit at all. it wont even come close to fitting at the top. i also tried the Metra. it fits a little better but still not flush. I have a 2013 so I'm pretty sure that we will have the same issues.

    thanks

Is it not lining up at the top or are wires and such blocking it in the back?

i just took a look at it again and i think it might be the scosche faceplate from the kit. i used the Scosche brackets and the Metra faceplate and it actually snapped on the top but with some force and the side of the pioneer 4200nex pops through on one side. the Scosche faceplate has some brackets on the back of it. did your kit have that?

    pic1.jpg Scosche faceplate
pics2.jpg Metra faceplate. it snaps in but i can open it to put in a DVD

You cannot mix the two to brands together, they work together.

I had the Metra first. Plastic brackets and a front that didn't mount to the brackets, it only snapped into the dash. Never could get the radio straight because of no cohesion between the brakets and the faceplate of the kit. Garbage.

I have the Scosche and it's a far better kit for the 2012-2015 Tacomas. It has metal brackets and the front mounts to the brackets (a very nessesary thing to be done).

Not sure either. Does the kit fit in the dash without the radio in it? If it does, then you know the radio is causing the problem.

No problem. The space behind the dash is a lot smaller due to a wire loom that goes across. There is a lot more room in my 2007 as the large loom is missing.
