Need your vin ran for diff recall ?

Not sure if it has the exact vins yet but when I type mine it it has the recall listed.

Yeah I must have ignored that part because it's the "Toyota expects less than 1%" part of it. It doesn't give specific info about which Taco models are most likely to be affected so my reading of this leads me to believe it might be everything sold between 2015 to now, which would probably be 228,000 trucks.

 

Somebody was under the influence on the assembly line and didn't torque bolts or seat seals correctly....just speculation

 

So now they have to inspect every damn truck!

It'll be the same guy that didn't fill the tranny fluid and the grease zerks correctly as well.

 

How much you wanna bet everyone's VIN will eventually be on the list...

 

They'll probably just add it to the Service Dept Checklist along with the "Ensure Driver's side floor mat is secured properly" item

 

Not sure at this point if every tacoma looked up from that link will list the recall or not

 

Mine does not show a recall FWIW.

 

Someone should post if they use that link and don't see a recall listed

 

More than likely, mine was built March 2017 and expect it to be.

You have got to be freaking kidding me? Buy a new truck in 1/17 and it's being recalled in April 17?

 

I searched with my VIN and no recalls came up. My truck was built in Mexico in May 2016. Seems weird that mine didn't show up as it's right in the middle of the affected period.

 

Mines not on there.

 

Bought mine in Feb 2017, my VIN came up clear using the link.

 

I let you guys know what my service dept says when I bring my truck in today.
