What are you referring to when you say you "re-floated the solder" on your compass? I have to do the same thing, and I was under the impression I just needed to re-solder a broken connection. Is this synonymous?

Knobs

 

I think that just means he re soldered it. Or at least heated up the solder that was there and made sure the connection was re-established.

 

Yet another good reason to carry a hi lift. Handle can always be used as an extension for added leverage.

 

Okay, I have to ask, where did you buy the knobs? How hard was it to swap out?

Yep. Had to have the screen replaced on my 55" Samsung 4k under warranty a few weeks ago. When the repair tech opened the case, I was surprised how little there was to it.

 

After a 4+ year hunt, I found the perfect used Cap for my Taco! It's a Leer 180 with carpet headliner, sliding front window, sliding side window, and interior dome light. I couldn't be happier! Time to start building my sleeping platform.

 

Sadly that hooch went into me. Removing the cab bolts on my 01 Ranger; and I discovered Ford coated the entire bolt with threadlock. Loosening the bolts only made the lock bushing spin, so I had to jam a bunch of metal against it. During this time, I would either torque on the bolts, curse or drink (rinse and repeat).

 

Damn you drive a lot! I just rolled 50k on my 2011

 

Yep. Re-float essentially means re-using the existing solder to establish the connection. No new solder was needed on mine.

 

Rather than work on her in the rain, i'm spending today hitting refresh on the tabs that i have open to track my retrofits and new grille as they make their way to me from across the country. Which reminds me... *refresh*

 

Finally got my HVAC knobs

 

Mines got 96k miles on it. Soon to be 97k.
