Excuse the shitty photshop of taking the caps "out", I'm at work and only have paint to use. But besides the "beadlock" and the icon one where they have icon written, what's the fuckin difference? Each wheel is at a different angle but it's all the same design. Everyone ripped off everyone. Why is there a need to destroy one company in particular when every company makes the same design?

It is ridiculous that this happens but unfortunately it does. Very rarely does anybody have a completely "original" ideal. But some people dont put in any effort and simply piggyback on other peoples creativity. Unfortunately it is hard to combat it legally. Utility patents are more successful with enforcement but design patents are difficult to enforce. With something like wheels, or roof racks in my case where the design and looks are the only "new" idea, then you are usually SOL when it comes to protecting what you created.

I have had people directly copy or slightly modify my roof rack designs as well and it sucks. I think for the most part consumers try to be ethical and support those that really put in the work to make the design and the members here who have the information should be the proponents of that mind set.

Pretty much. I only stated about the latest 2 designs. Their first 2 I have nothing to say. Every wheel is similar to another. They're all round. (mostly)

The fact that SCS has a waiting list should speak volumes, and not volumes about why that means someone should buy a similar wheel elsewhere.

To play devils advocate on this, SCS has there wheels made in China like many other companies do. The Chinese government could give to shits about a US copyright. Maybe vtx didn't realize they were picking a rip off from the manufacturers catalog. IMG_0215.jpgThis is a Vw rim from 17 years ago. Pretty similar to a stealth 6.

Nope spoke to Vin about that, all current SCS wheels will be exclusive to Toyotas, they will not be released for Jeeps.

Jeeps will have their own designs.

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
