So a few months back I took my truck in for a rear main seal and front crank seal. Wednesday I took it in again for replacement since it was leaking again. Just got a call saying the place I took it to which was another dealer crossed a few bolts and in turn some snapped off in the bell housing of the motor. They have to figure out what a plan of action is to remove the snapped bolts and repair the threads of the cross threaded bolts. On top of that the rear main seal was installed wrong.

These Techs at the dealer ship dont have a clue. I have had multiple incidents with them leaving stuff off under the hood or not putting stuff back on. This is a national struggle to us tacoma owners to find not only reptuable mechanics that work on are pride n joy, but customer service dosnt even F'ing exist seems to be a thing of the past. :help::angrygirl:

Update it was the exhaust bolts that were jacked up. Tech said wrong thing. Have to get a new sea plate so truck is down another day. Thank god it wasn't the bell housing bolts.

As much of a pain in the ass it is, this is why I do all my own work. They couldn't even communicate well enough between each other to tell you what was fucked up and what wasn't lol. And how in the world can one install a rear main seal wrong? Must have put it in backwards or something

Put it in at a angle. Didn't get it flush all around. And if the trans wasn't such a bitch to. Fill with fluid I would have done it

Sweet truck. May I suggest an Eaton TrueTrac for the rear end?

Must of had their most recent tech-school hire put that seal in. I forgot Toyota went full retard years back with the "sealed" transmissions. My 02 Tundra I could fill, but I can't with my current 06. Another stupid design/idea.
