I have to believe it's better to justify cutting a 4" hole in my air filter box.

Completely strange question: can anyone tell me the weight of OEM Lower Ball Joint? Not the "shipping weight" but the part's weight alone. While visiting USA I'm doing some shopping and wanted to make sure it is not to much for my check in bag.

    Stuff. Also things.
    Nope.

When I threw my 315s on for the first time to tub, the usual three point turn to get out of my garage became about a 15 point turn.

You literally can't turn the truck until you hack that shit up.
Yep. That's exactly what it is.

And then you get to start thinking about your wheel offset and/or spacers to keep those things off the frame. And gears. And the fact that your wheel bearings are going to hate you. And the fact that all of those sweet liners that keep mud and shit out of the fenders and bedsides go bye bye. All of that and more.

It is definitely a gigantic, expensive pain in the ass.

    But I freakin love mine.

Question re: flywheel. Should I look at replacing it w/the higher torque LCE sells? How many times can you resurface it? Since I've owned the truck, I had it resurfaced once but I am the 3rd owner. Though in the documentation that I have it doesn't show that the clutch had previously been done. I don't believe there is a way of knowing unless you get in there and see for yourself correct?

Thanks guys, This is the heaviest part from the whole front end balls set so I just placed the order with TRDParts for all left and right ball joints: lower, upper and tie rod ends.
I also ordered seat belt buckles as they are quite old and sometimes hard to lock or unlock.
The only thing I did not order was seat belts as it is to much risk, that they will be picked up from my bags at the airport by airline security (because of pre-tensioner). I will get them through dealer in Poland (two months to wait for it).

I think I'm good for this trip. Besides ball joints I got:
    1. Redline Tuning Hood QuickLIFT (ELITE). I missed Group Buy Discount in March but it is still OK as it costs over 100 bucks to ship them to Poland. I looked at the kit and it is very impressive.

    2. Two sets of 20W Led bumper backup lights - one set as the spare parts. I just figure out that if LED bight fails at some point I will need identical replacement or I will be left with big hole in my bumper. The kit I bought on Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01F7LR5QI/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s02) looks very good quality - much better than my OSRAM DRL lights I bough for my truck. Connectors are sealed waterproof, and wires are like three times longer than OSRAM gave me.

    3. Also just for playing I got 3-wire dimmer to see if I can replace my old rheostat with it. I hope it works and confirm what I suspected that it is possible to use OEM 3-wire dimmer to dim interior LED lights.

Higher torque flywheel? Do you mean the heavier one or lighter one??

That is up to you really. I resurfaced mine. A lighter one make the rpms drop faster adn heavier one keeps them up.

A simple question with a complex answer.

Springs of all types are wear items. The more cycles you put on them, the more the metal fatigues. The more sprung weight they control the faster they wear out.

My first set eventually started to lose their weight carrying ability. I 'killed' the first set by doing what I do. I carry a lot of weight and use them a lot off-road.

In all honesty, they weren't completely dead when I passed them along to a needy soul. Now they are on Igor. :D

I meant to say the "high torque 30/38lb steel flywheel" that LCE sells.

Lol well I won't be putting crazy weight all the time. Besides crazy weight for me is maybe 600 pounds. My cap weights about 100, 150lbs in the bed at all times, and a soon to have rear bumper. So maybe they'll last me some good years of use. I have been thinking about doing the chevy 63, but hear all sort of mix reviews about it, mostly good tho. Just not sure if to pull the trigger.

Yea thanks man! Once again i recieved good service from you guys. there was a little confusion on when I would get the battery, but it was Easter Safari weekend so it's forgivable lol! The shackles and plate holder I ordered came a day early to make up for it. I'm gearing up to finish my dual battery setup and some gears & locker and @Low Range Off-Road will likely be my go to for those parts as well:cheers:. My digital scale didn't like it too much. didn't want to go so far as to weigh myself and then again while holding it... too much effort, close enough  But maybe my scale reads a bit heavy so I'm not as heavy as thought :bananadance:

Thanks guys, I got it - round 5 lb. Left and right will be 10 lb. Adding upper and tie end and two belt buckles should be total around 20-25lb. With lamps, hood lift kit and misc items I will be OK having 50lb airline limit. Lamps are 5lb per set but they felt heavy. My biggest concern was LBJ as besides the ball there is a big chunk of steel with it. But now knowing it is 5lb or so I feel less worried.
