Have you had the transmission software updated? (TSB)?

Or they may have bad seals, or they may have bolts that are stretching.... I'd want Toyota to take a look at this rather than just torquing myself and calling it gravy.

My thoughts exactly when I was reading other threads of people doing the home remedy. Tho, at this point, they are only replacing hardware upon discovery of a leak.

I have a 4cyl so they stated there wasn't one for it. The transmission fluid was low though so they fixed that but that was a mess. The first dealership said they checked it and found no issues so I drove until 5,000 miles and the second dealership stated they found an issue with it being low and filled it to the proper amount. After the correct filling it started to drive great about 70% of the time where as the other 30% still jerks around.

I was on the recall list.
My argument is going to be there must be an issue with the bolts. Otherwise the recall wouldn't cover replacement of all the bolts.
If they give me grief about it then I'll just have to suck it up and pay to get it fixed. Maybe it will teach me a lesson to leave well enough alone.
Funny thing is now I am curious if it starts leaking around the sheared bolt I'll be covered. Or if it doesn't leak at all. It's not like the pumpkin is pressurized I don't think, maybe some expansion from heat. There is a breather on it to allow pressure to escape. Time and wiser TW members will set me straight.

    Oh no... not under warranty!

Ouch - I just looked back in the thread and saw the sheared bolts.... that's no good!

    Don't do it yourself!

I wonder if Seatbelt Mike Sweers will take a beating from his Japanese step-parents over this recall?

I think the hardware R&R only applies if a leak was found or other damage.

    Did you have a leak?

And @Z50king essentially called OP a liar. When he was called out on it, he gave another non credible response.

Not right now. But now that a bolt is missing one might be in my near future.

Man I'm so tired of the constant issues with this truck. First it was leaf springs then it was rad bolts, then the window rattling and need tightened, then the interior starting to rattle, now its my rear diff leaking that I wouldn't have known about without this forum. Went out and checked, sure enough, wet spots everywhere. Went from a perfect truck up to 13000 miles to being in the shop constantly now sitting at 21000. Wish the lemon law applied, I would shit can this truck and get something else.

Thanks to the OP for this heads up. Without your post I wouldn't have bothered to check something that shouldn't have issues like this so early on in the trucks life. Cheers.
