You may want to invest in some welding PPE to protect your eyes from those LEDs.

Fully illuminated. Been running on the test bench non stop for 7hours so far.
Fitment is perfect in the tail light housing.
Will get some updated/ completed pics soon. There is light at the end of the tunnel! (get it?:D)

I have a few test samples that are going through(non scientific) torture tests including:
-24hr constant power, Oven, Freezer, Submerged in water(worst case senario). Most possible scenario is heat. (inside a tail light in the sun during the summer) So I will be monitoring temperatures. The entire base is aluminum which is a decent heatsink..but I like to go overkill and might add additional heatsinks to the back via thermo tape.
But the manufacture has a 10,000hr life guarantee

Here are some mock up pictures. This is what the production model will look like.
Still on the fence about the Mesh vinyl(in pictures) over the reflector. VS just smoke film

    Oh. My.
These are crazy impressive. When you put them up for sale, will the Pro's be an option to purchase as well? Amazing job. It's been cool to follow this thread and see it from inception to now.

Thank you sir.. it's been a fun project. I just keep thinking how I can make it better, brighter, cooler. I think this will do(for now)
As of right now I am only doing the TRD Off-road RED lights. I will do the PROS upon request, they just cost me a lot more money and are harder to get.

    Update:
    -still testing boards, going well!
-getting custom laser cut aluminum mounts to hold the LED boards in(they will also act as a secondary heat sink)
-assembling the plug and play harnesses (with build in resistors to prevent hyperflash)

Still no ETA -sorry guys.
Said it before,, I'm in no rush nor should I be. But I will tell you they are much closer to completion. I am leaving no stone unturned.

    -stew

Man oh man! I have a set of SR5 tails that are just collecting dust that would look great with the chrome blacked out with this treatment. Nice work dude!

just a question. does the oem red section look that bright unlit? I know you have white boards, but was wondering how hard would it be to color the circuit board black ?

I know its just semantics due to the circuit board being white and I will get a pair either way. just that it makes that section really stand out in the housing.

That's a neat idea using your reverse housing for switchback turn signal leds. Kinda awesome.
