Need your vin ran for diff recall ?

Beating a dead horse.

DCSB OR 6MT - 6/11/16 Production, 5T VIN, nothing.

I do have the howl.

 

2017 SR5 on the list .......and was just in for my 5k two days ago......


Just took a look and no leakage, so at least I have that going for me.

 

bring er back!

 

Crap on the list and my dif was fluid filmed!

 

But what about the howl. The howl dammit!

My TRD Sport DCLB with a build date of October 2016 is on the recall list as well. I have automatic transmission.

 

Not on the list by a month and moist around the union...

I tried to put my vin in but it says no records of my truck is found??? My vin starts with 3 and was produced in Mexico 12/16. I took a look under when I got home from work and this is what i found... (was just at the dealership last week complaining of the howl, and they said differential looked fine and said the howl was from my KO2) I should have took a look myself. Time to go back!

 

Hi. What is the recall? Replace the studs and the nuts?

Retorque if youre dry. Replace hardware and gasket and check for more damage if you're wet.

 

Definitely plenty of wet tacos out there ...

That's nice advice if you're a Mechanic but
No one should have to do that on a NEW truck.
Someone's engineered a fucked up diff.

 

Beats hairy tacos any day.

 

That's why there's a recall. Happens all the time on vehicles. At least Toyota is providing a solution

 

I wouldn't tamper with a dang thing. Give Toyota every opportunity to make it right.

Definantly don't try to clean anything.

They recognize there's a problem and they will fix it. Any self attempts will either not fix it or doing damage. *cough* like shearing the stud *cough*
