So you'd like a cheaper (possibly not as good) version from us? Or you'd like us to make it just as good (and likely as expensive), but sell it for less?

If you could send a picture that would be helpful. Did you try the bolts without the spacer? I know they are long, but I think the hole in the frame is a thru hole so you should have been able to just thread it all the way until tight.

Someone already makes that version. We didn't particularly like the way is looks with the bend. Because the tailgate is curved, the bend has to be way our from the tailgate. It looks awkward and like it wasn't made to fit the lines of the truck. We made it as it is for ppl you didn't like the version from another vendor.

We have just those two designs, but if you click into the product, it's offered in a bunch of colors and sizes.

GBs only for slow moving product is a great way to keep products going without liability of having money spent and sitting on a shelf.

    Would recommend.

    No idea :notsure:

Does anyone make that style in aluminum to cut down on weight but with steel reinforced areas for recovery and jacking? Probably would be too complicated and expensive for minimal weight savings.

If it's any consolation, I had the other vendors tailgate protector, and while the bend was a nice feature, the Mobtown version is a much nicer product.

It also is infinitely more attainable. I didn't get mine until several months of being ignored for updates, and then only got some feedback after 5 months and then saying I was just going to pick it up in person. Then it was ready to ship.

No bumper cutting required. That would make it stand out.

I'll get pics tomorrow. Yes, I did try them without spacers. I'll have to look to see if there's room on the other side. I don't think there was.

    True.

Another member waited 10 months for a bumper before canceling it, and that was a 3 month order the whole time.

Cheaper and not as good. Seems like there's a gap in the market for a simple, affordable accessory battery tray. One that would bolt in to the passenger side in the space by the firewall on the offroads would be awesome.

I'm sure he could do a universal box and let the mounting be drilled by the user.

Having a product only able to be used by a small percentage of the market (TRD OR who want a second battery) makes it hard to feed the family.

Universal box with an adapter mount to bolt under the box for the OR. I think the mounting bolts in that spot are at different levels.

I'd like something comparable at a lower price point. IMO, Pelfrey's cage is exceptional, but overkill for some. I would be remiss to say that I doubt you could design and easily sell something of the same quality as Pelfrey's cage but much less substantial. Something between what they have and this:

I'd like to think we are capable of anything. But it's literally just a piece of steel with a couple bends in it. Hard to get simpler than that. I'll have think about how we could take cost out to make it less expensive. The only thing I can think of is to make it thinner gauge steel, which would make it not as good.
