Check your 10 rear differential bolts

Quite possible your torque wrench is no longer calibrated properly. Are you storing it unloaded? Is it capable of going as low as 18 ft lbs accurately?

 

Mark your bolts in some way before you take it in so you can actually see if they replaced them.

 

DO NOT check your bolts. Let the dealer do it !!!

 

My diff was replaced by a dealership service department. I wonder what they are torqued to..... ??

 

Only the master tech who did your install would know.... I'll end up doing the torqueing in stages like a cylinder head to see how much the nuts will yield, even though I'm not on the list.

 

What list? Why aren't you on it?

 

That huge recall thing that came up today for the diff seal. I have no idea why I'm not on it, but I'm checking the torque regardless. My buddy's taco isn't on the list either.
Mine is Mexican made.

 

I think my transmission bolts need to be torqued...

 

What bolts? Nuts?
