    I don't understand why any one would want or think this was any sort of competition? If so it's one I will gladly lose and would prefer not to even be able to compete in. I only talk about it because people ask. We all have our health issues it appears and while mine are serious to me they pale in comparisson to others.

    What are youhaving to do? Not trying to be a smart ass but have you considered just locating a used hood that's in good shape I would believe that in CA you would be able to find a healthy rust free example perhaps even in the correct color. I always admire efforts to repair but sometimes replacement is just a better option

    Good morning, it snowed all day yesterday and still was when I went to bed. None of it stuck though. 29* this morning, sun is out and no wind rather pleasant outside. 2 more hours get blood drawn and had 2 cups of coffee with cream in it this morning so far. I forgot. Uh Oh.

    If it is anything like the rest of the manufacturing world the end of the month means production quotas and things go fast, really fast and not always accurately. I've seen some companies ship empty boxes out the door just to say that they met quota especially quarterly or annual goals. I don't miss some things about the manufacturing vertical. Good luck! Hope push ups are not in your future :fingerscrossed:

    Sometimes wish Duke Medical would have called me instead of who did. But in the end it all works out. Pretty sure I will end up back in Western NC but looks like 6 more years yet. Figured wait until a cure for cancer was found with the genomics program before I leave here. That is not going to happen hell even if they did find it Federal approval would take longer than that. In the meantime trying to enjoy the ride. Some days are better than others LOL.

    Hood costs lots of money would have to be repainted and I would have to get rid of the old one. This was a 3 hour weld...done
    The weak, thin metal holding the latch pin tore in 4 places and the hood wouldn't latch. If I was you and did any rough road driving, I would throw a weld on it now to strengthen it. I had it welded to the frame around the pin.
