Spark plugs and tranny fluid

It's time to change my spark plus and transmission fluid. What are the best spark plugs to get? Any recommendations for the tranny fluid?

What is WS?

 

I believe it's World Service. It's used in the 5 speed auto. The four speed auto still uses Type IV.

 

Are there no "performance" spark plugs?

World Service is a type of fluid? Is there a certain brand or anything?

I think Amsoil is the only brand that has a compatible product (specs wise).

 

WS Buy it at the dealer for peace of mind.

EDIT. Looks like you were right about World Standard.

 

Both the Amsoil ATL and the Red Line D6 are compatible, and are both superior products to the Toyota fluid. You can buy gallons of the D6 on Amazon.

where exactly do u ass the fluid i dont see a dip stick to check the tranny fluid levels how do u check them?

 

If you have the 5-speed tranny there is no dipstick, they call it a "sealed" transmission. You can, however, still service it. Here is a great write up about doing a drain and refill.

i have an 07 automatic is that a 5 speed auto that ur talking about also i meant add not ass lol

 

if u look on the passenger side of the tranny right before the end of the case (right before the "snout") there is a 24mm plug. that is the fill hole. u need some sort of pump like in the previous pic. the other 2 plugs are on the trans pan. one is the drain plug and the other is the "overflow" plug. vehicle must be running at at operating temp for proper fluid exchange. its a little tricky to perform the whole service.
technically the WS (world standard) is a 100k mile fluid and does not need to be service till this mile interval.

 

It's not too hard to get the trans into temp check mode, before you start draining fluid try it out a few times to be sure you can do it correctly. Keep in mind the Toyota WS fluid is $7-8 a quart and you'll need around 3-4 quarts to do the drain/refill. My plan is to change it over the next couple oil changes to eventually get a good amount of new fluid in there.
