Just put her down monday but here there's a meat farm that takes meat from the left over meat humans eat and they pre mix bags of it without 80% meat 20% bone and organs. They sell them all around as raw food for dogs and you just weigh what your dog would get. (I believe it was 2% body weight? Per day) Made it super easy to feed her. I would add an egg to it and a little bit of high quality grain but not much. Theres a guy around here who owns his own company and travels the world doing these diets and learning about them. I had him make a diet for my dog who had chronic pancreatitis and it helped her live another 18 months or so when I honest thought she was gone. Wish ibgave her a better diet years ago but I just didn't know.
Was pretty cheap too a month maybe 60-70 Canadian a month at most

Cool. I looked up this Darwin dog food company online that was referred to in that Netflix documentary. Their cheapest chicken based raw dog food would put me about $200/month since my dog will top out between 90-100lbs. That's using their recommended daily feeding amounts based on dog weight.

My dog is very healthy and normal for his breed and twice that weight.

Sounds like going Darwin for mine would be a solid Taco payment.:eek::eek:

Bruce eats very well, but it isn't pushing $400 a month. (For the record, Taste of the Wild and whatever we're having that night for years)

I have an eight year old English Mastiff that runs around the yard with the cats like a 2 or 3 year old. Never had to worry about him over eating and like any dog born in Texas loves BBQ among many, many other treats.

I did a lot of research on the matter when Bruce was a pup. IMHO, a decent food that doesn't have corn, supplemented by whatever food we'd otherwise waste that doesn't over feed them, along with making sure he exercised has kept him very youthful and healthy into his so-called "senior" years.

Billy Goat (Willy)...on squirrel patrol! He only pays attention to squirrels at home. During hunting season he completely ignores them. Smart boy!

Just lost my boxer Tank about a year ago to a Bain tumor at age 6, was hard but decided to adopt a young mix, not really sure what she is, thinking pit bull, beagle and lab maybe. She loves birds, might make her a hunting dog. This is Harper.
