I just installed an Optima D34/78 Red Top battery. Got the "hook up" from a friend that works at a battery store for only $80.00

I need to clean a few things up but the install went very smoothly. I had to get a longer ground wire but I knew this going into it. The battery is a little short so I used the tray that came with the battery and I also reused the factory tie down (sprayed it with Duplicolor Bed Liner Paint). I am going to get a billet tray in a couple months and also install my Blue Sea's Fuse Block to clean up the wires.

Let me know if you have any questions...

Will get some more detailed pics up later.

I guess I'll make this my update thread as I plan on installing my Blue Sea Fuse Block this weekend.

I also just ordered this Battery Box from Ruff Stuff Specialties. I was going to order the Billet tray from Ebay but it was a little too "pretty" for me.

    Ruff Stuff Specialties

I plan on having it line'xd or powder coated black.

    I know! I couldn't pass it up!

I originally wanted an Odyssey but he couldn't give me deal on it. Then I wanted a yellow top and again he couldn't give me a deal so I had to go with the red top which should be fine for my set-up. I can always upgrade to the yellow top thru him for only $30 more.

Yea those are sweet batteries. My brother has one in his truck that is almost 10 years old and still works perfectly.
