For the cup holder I used Satin black. I didn't want it to be super glossy. Trying to match the other black parts in the cab. ;)

They do have high gloss and clear coat. I've used the clear on a few projects. It has UV protectant in it, so it's great for external stuff, and helps keep the paint from fading.

The reason why I Plasti Dipped it in the first place is it was a little scuffed up from the previous owner. Turned out the Plasti Dip was a bad choice.

I had a black cup holder in my 5spd '09 and a silver one in my '13 6spd. I switched them out and now they look much better. Black on black in the '13 and silver on silver in my '09.

A little contrast here and there is usually a good thing.

My silver one was all scratched up. I wasn't about to pay for color matched paint, so decided on black. I did want some contrast though. The satin black is almost an exact match to the black already in the cab on the other black parts.

    Use trim black. It'll match.

Same reason I swapped the scuffed silver one out of the RC SR5 and into my base AC, so I would have more black in the RC cab and not that scuffed up silver one. Was just 1 of many things I kept/swapped when trading in the 05 AC for the 08 RC.....

Anyone made an adapter so a Yeti or RTIC 30oz can not rattle back and forth in the large opening.

    It’s driving my crazy!

Wife always grabs it and holds it steady, lol... but she doesn’t always ride with me, hahaha

I think the center console cup holders are awesome. Can hold full sized hydroflask’s/nalgenes as previously stated. A can in a thin coozie squeezes perfectly into the smaller of the three.

I’ve also taken a Moscow mule type copper mug and slid that into one of the larger cup holders to get me a more snug fit for the tapered/skinny mug types. I think of it as a copper cup holder condom.

    More than I can afford
Only thing that bothered me about mine is it was scratched to shit when I bought the truck. My dog scrambling over it made it even worse.
Wrapped it in 3M carbon fiber vinyl wrap a few years ago, looks and works just fine.
