Well, I mean, kinda. I have a GX already.

It's almost ready for wheeling, just waiting on my UCAs now that supposedly shipped from California last Thursday. I think I may just install the lift this weekend anyway if they don't come. Apparently the BP-51s don't REQUIRE them.

I already have wheels/tires, skids, sliders, and a rear locker on it.

 

We @JimSnell, @twalchlii1 and I just installed Total Chaos uca's for my BP-51 setup. I needed them at factory preload the gain came out to be about 3 inches. No bumper or winch yet.

 

That's huge! I talked to the guys at ARB and they said they expect exactly 2". If it's 3" I'll just park it until the UCAs come in.

 

Don't feel like pulling a @bobsuruncle? We all know how to get the ball out of the spindle now

 

Keep in mind your rig weighs like 1,000 pounds more than a tacoma

 

I was almost 4" after my BP51's installed with zero extra weight. With sliders and steel skids I'm at 3.25"

 

I know on 4runners the lift only nets 2" 2 1/2" if you crank it. There springs are shorter then icon, king, etc.

 

Wow thats surprising. Icons are stock length at 13", at least for 2nd gen tacos.. King is 14".

 

Did you change the preload? That seems like way too much.

I was 1/2 expecting to see you on Feb 5th next to the new middle school on Newcastle Way. I was helping people in the snow, dragged a sprinter van up a tiny incline, gave a ride to stranded bus riders.

 

That's what I thought. I turned to comp to zero and drove for a week or so and it settled to 3.5 then I added sliders and skids dropped to 3.25

 

With my bp51s at the factory preload I'm at about 2.5" with arb bumper, skids, sliders, aux battery.

 

Haha not too worried about that. I am pretty proficient with ball joints now after installing so damn many UCAs. I just don't want to over extend and smash up my shiny coils

 

The measurements you guys are talking about are tall, and not what ARB intended... After I install mine they're taking a bunch of measurements and checking clearances before they start selling the kit. If it's that tall I think they'll be replacing the springs on my kit at least.

 

They didn't intend folks to install them with 20mm of preload and no armor. I just didn't want o pull them to change preload as I started loading it up. Mine ride great now.

 

They told me to expect 2" of lift with no weight. Anything more and my KDSS is going to throw a fucking fit. But, I guess that's the joy of working with them directly. After it's installed I am bringing it to let their techs do their analysis. They'll make it right.

ARB is smart I'm sure they have an entire different set of numbers for your GX.
