Backup camera staying on

Curious if anyone else has experienced this. Backed out of my garage this morning and after I put it in drive and took off my backup camera was still on. Pushed the button for audio and it turned off and went to the audio screen. Will have to see if it does it again later.

 

Sweet! When you figure it out do a write up. Some folks want their trucks to do this.

 

Anytime rear view camera is a mod.

Maybe you aren't understanding. I don't have this mod done. It just randomly stayed on, not sure why. Just wanted to know if anyone else has had this happen.

We did understand, but we're just saying that some folk want to do that intentionally, and he, the lucky duck, gets it for 'free'.

OP, no, it's not supposed to do that from the factory.

If it does it again, maybe safely stop and have someone look and see if your backup lights are on too. Could be a clue where to start looking for the problem?

Ive found myself putting it in reverse and then trying to mess with my radio. It won't let you until you take it out of reverse. Might be a switch or something getting stuck?
