Damn good question! I'd probably install the original one before the blame it on that!

for those of you who will need to take their truck in for the warranty, the factory vent/ breathe for the rear diff is pt# is 90930A3001 and is less than $10. i recommend NOT taking the truck in with the vent relocation mod and return the diff back to factory conditions.

Probably a good idea to still clean your rear diff and check for leaks just to be sure! Just because your Vin# wasn't on the recall doesn't mean that your diff can't start or isn't leaking now.

Sure, never hurts to double check, but I would think the VIN range was tied to some specific manufacturing or assembly issue.

    A few minor things...
How much better than stock are these?

I've come to find (through research) that the stock speakers kinda suck

Depends on your budget/goals. They will all provide light. But if you are running in the badlands at night you'll want the best possible unit (and that'll probably be Baja), but I you're just lighting up the mall go with the cheapest solution out there.

Caught my 1st windshield rock today from a Weyerhauser tractor trailer. The great news is that insurance will only seal it and it will still be noticeable. Hopefully at 93 degrees tomorrow it will spread to meet the dollar bill length criteria to get replaced.

I had my first 6 month service at 4,400 miles for my Toyota Care program. I asked that they set the turn signal flasher to 5 flashes instead of the 3 factory flash setting. The service advisor didn't know what I was talking about, but said if I agreed to pay $27 for the computer hook up fee that he would "look into it". I said fine since it is pretty annoying to me since I drive a lot of highway miles to work.

Good news, they set it to 5 flashes and didn't charge me a dime. It is so much more user friendly now. I thought that 7 flashes might be better, but 5 is perfect.

I live in Allentown, PA and went to Bennett Toyota on Lehigh Street for those of you local.

I would assume we all have the same parts. Just depends on how bad that batch was each of us got.

Looks dirty. You should wash your truck tomorrow when it is nice and hot. Remember to use cold water, you wouldn't want your truck to shrink in the wash.
