Puppy love. Hanging out in the Carrizo Plains, waiting for the sunset with my buddies 8 month old English Boxer.

is that picture recent? its already that brown? I was there april 1st, and everything was GREEN and exploding in brilliant yellow wildflowers...

 

The pic I posted was taken 3 days ago. The bloom fest is rapidly drying up! There are still some nice areas way up in the hills but the valley floor is almost back to desert brown again. It's still worth a trip but the epic bloom has passed.

 

I think all Shorthairs have some Billygoat in them!

 

Looking forward to Summer fun as well. I should enter him in Dock Dog.

I wish. Riley will be 9 this year and I'm sure another would either be too much or just the right thing.

 

It's usually just the right thing to spring some life/energy into an older dog.

Kezar went under a barb wire fence for 2nd time. last one went septic and required surgery in which they removed a football shaped piece of skin which they stitched back up. Lots of scarification and that is where he caught up this time.

 

Poor guy!

 

Thanks for the info. I'm sorry to hear that. He has needed occasional assistance when tired the last few years.

I have to get another ramp for him. The one I had, I think, I was from petsmart (~$25). Had two sections that expanded, but in his younger days didn't use it and it got away from me in a move.

 

Do it. It's fun. But there's some stiff competition out there nowadays. This is my Chessie Jake the Dawg, several years ago, on his way to a 22+ foot jump.
