I am on list but no seepage.
So why are these nuts becoming loose ?
Not torqued properly at build ? Torque/nut design spec inadequate ?

Are they changing the nuts/studs if you have seepage ?
If yes then if you have no seepage why are they not changing them out ?

If Toyota had better control of their suppliers, they wouldn't have these issues. Apparently, they don't even inspect their work according to Toyota's suppliers website:

Do other manufacturers such as Honda, Chevy , Ford. ?

Do they inspect Takata air bags ?

    Everything inside trannys ?

    Lets be realistic.

    I'm not saying they do.

I find it bizarre for any manufacturer (esp Toyota who promotes itself in part on it's reliability) to do this.

So Toyota, Ford, Honda, Nissan....doing this

How can any manufacturer go back inside a tranny, airbag, differential or such and check every one for quality.
Its impossible and not cost effective for any auto manufacturer to do.

People that cannot read and comprehend what sentences in a PDF says or even know what "Mid-June" means cannot be realistic, No way in Hell. Even with my 10th grade education I know this is the end of April and Toyota will be mailing notices out to affected owners in 6 weeks, (Mid-June)

If my truck was unsafe to drive Toyota would send a flatbed to haul it in for immediate repairs instead of waiting 6 weeks to send me a letter.

When vehicles were built by humans, parts were inspected. Now some guy drops a box in a robot and it dispenses/attaches whatever was inside. Didn't your truck come with free Doritos?

There was a time when Toyota was above other manufacturers. Not so much anymore.

True. That is why Honda last year forgot to put the c clips on the connecting rods IN the engine on Civics, forcing a stop assembly and sales.
Also probably the reason for the low tranny fluid in Tacos with tow package.

And this from a guy who was busting the balls of the guy who first posted on TW regarding the stop sale.

Guess he's not a liar or full of fake news now is he? Have you apologized to him yet?

The stop sale was after a 15 minute check, far from what the topic title implied.

    Trust me for what ?
Its not a bs answer. Stop sales make it sound like they are not selling for a long period, which is not the case.
Go to a dealer and you can walk off the lot today with one. Thats NOT stop sales !!!

Your biased perception of the issue is bs.

It IS a stop sale regardless of your attempting to define it as something different.

You lied about and attempted to discredit another member who accurately added value & attempting to help other members.

And when you were called out about your conduct you blew it off when all you need (and need to do) is admit you were and are wrong and apologize.

    Don't be so dramatic.
Will never happen. When you can go buy one right now and have it home in 2 hours after a 15 minute check thats not stop sales. Now is it ?
The Civics which had c clips missing in the engines last year were an example of stop sales. You could not buy one.
The Tundras with the heated seat issue is another example.
