    No it won't look weird. I did the tint on my own on my 97 Tacoma ex cab. It actually looked pretty cool. I'll see if i can find any pics.

    Edit:
    Best pic i have right now.

Michelin 265/75/16 MS2's, Grillcraft MX series/TOYOTA badging. FJ/SE TRD Anthracite gray wheels. Katzkin leather/heated seats.

    Word of advice;

    Check what the state law is for legal tint for front driver and pass side windows.

    In North Carolina if your tint does not pass inspection my the State PoPo you will get a $120.00 award and then you have to pay to have the tint removed $$ and legal tint reinstalled $$. :eek:

    For what its worth....don't ask me how I know.;)

    Mine has tint over the factory smoked windows and the darkness looks great. Although whoever did it, there are small holes and bubbles all in it, needless to say i'll be getting new tint. :D

    So do you think I should go 20% in the front and like 40% in rear?

    go 20% on the doors/side windows, 5% on the back. the bigger window in the rear lets a good amount of light in, "irregardless" of factory film. it'll look sharp. maybe throw 50 or even 35 on the windshield

    If you do alot of backing of your truck sown say a driveway, i would'nt do 5% on the rear, it makes it very hard to see at night.

    I just had 35's put on the fronts and kind of wish I went a little darker. The backs are dark enough for me, so I didnt touch them

    I did notice that there are small bubbles left )about the size of a grain of rice. The guy said its normal and will go away .. is this true? I dont remember this with my last set of tints, but that was over 10 years ago.

    Ya the bubbles should thin out, if I remember it took about a week or so.

    So that makes it legal or the right thing to do???? If my daughter made a statement like that, I would kick her ass.....then take her car away.

    If she had the attitude you displayed with the "my dad is a cop"...I certainally would.

    Just because your father is an officer and you work out with other officers do you think you are better than anyone else and it is ok to break the law with exceeding the window tint limits???? That's what it sounds like..........you should be setting an example.

    This whole thread was about window tinting, there are people all over my town that drive around with blacked out windows and the officers do not care. They have much bigger things to worry about then people with tinted windows. I wasnt trying to be cocky I was just making a joke out of it. You need to calm down and not make internet drama like a little teenage girl on facebook. That is all, have a good night sir.:)
