A bit disappointed here. Not that I was expecting anything wondrous but was hopeful. The strawberry comes across strong to the nose and while not overpowering to the taste, it seems to be the only taste. That and club soda. Glad I only bought a bomber.

I'm halfway through my four pack and I don't think it's very "east coasty"

Even though it says unfiltered it's crystal clear. Tasty. Haven't had a bad beer from firestone thus far. Wish they didn't discontinue wooky jack. So sad.

Now lagunitas Waldo... that's resiny and hazy and great special ale.

Drinking a Ballast Point Indra Kunindra Stout. Curry and Kaffir lime leaves

I had one of these 5 years ago when a buddy from San Diego hit town.
2 years ago they made it again in qty and it was available here, and I bought a case.
    Its held up well.

    The champagne of beers.

Unfortunately keggers in college ruined that beer for me.

I'm fairly far removed now though... might be I should try it again!

    Beermosa with highlife. Mmmmmmm

This may be a dumb question but why does draft beer taste so much better than bottle or can? I love trying new beers at restaurants and such. I'll find something I really like and then buy it from the liquor store or wherever and it tastes like shit.

To me it's usually the opposite. Draft doesn't always taste horrible but it sure don't taste like bottled beer!!.....that's just me though.

But even if they're both super fresh I prefer draft.

That is a great question. I will ponder it as I drink some more beer.

I guess I'm speaking mainly of IPAs and Ales. That's mainly what I drink.

It shouldn't in a perfect world, but a keg of beer is more likely to be treated better, no sitting warm on a shelf in a liquor store that doesn't care.

Age damages most beers, and you local liquor store may not turn the beer over very fast so you could be buying year old beer meant to be enjoyed within 3-6 months.

Kegs are easier to be free of oxygen before packaging where a lot of smaller breweries struggle to package cans or bottles without letting in a lot of air during the filling. More air more quickly the beer will lose the fresh flavors and aromas.

On the other hand a bar that doesn't clean it's draft lines adequately will ruin excellent beer from a keg.
