Seeing that reminds me how fortunate I am that Mom here decided to move into an "active adults" complex (55+). No maintenance worries.

 

No shit.
I have 2 places to do now.
She bought the place 10 years ago. It's just sitting.

I lucked out. My mother (83 now) is still a very social person. She enjoys the feeling of a community atmosphere, so moving into a structured complex that offered benefits designed for persons of her age was perfect.

 

That doesn't look good !!

Can't believe how many burnt up Palm trees I've seen today , we've either have someone torching them or the wind is pushing the palm fronds into the power lines

Also even though the High wind warning has expired for my area I'm still seeing strong winds in certain areas especially in my area or North of it near the Cajon Pass . I was sitting at an intersection in my truck about an hour ago . The winds were strong enough to fell the truck moving around

We're now under a wind advisory but still seeing 20 plus mph gusts

 

I can almost see El paso from the roof. Nice view.

 

Not mine. After my dad passed, my mom at 82 started a grief support group out of her apartment twice a month. She’s a bit religious.

At least I burned off some food baby. Now just cooked some stir fry in olive oil with chicken. Gotta lose a few pounds.

 

Damn, from Comfort to El Paso is only about 500 miles. You got some good eyes.

 

There's a haze from fires in Mexico but you can see well past plateau from there.
I could put my telescope up on roof on a dark clear night and find out how far I can see.

We had some 15-20 mph earlier. We're supposed to go to the races but not sure now. I haven't been outside since the Rangers-Angels game started. It's raining in Arlington, Texas now.

We get those idiots that try to burn palm trees...morons.
