Washed it, fixed the passenger side front speaker as it was rattling, and took some pics.

I installed Clazzios a couple weeks ago, wasn't about to pull the cover up to tuck this under, I just cut them off on my seats.

Yeah it doesn't look bent or anything so it should be fixable, right? Just wondering if I can get by for a few more days of daily driving before I'm able to take it in.

I think I would at lest put a nut and washer on top since it's through the mount. I believe I'd go down to an autoparts store snd see if they have the washers bushings and a nut. That way you can get it fixed and n worries. It'll be easier to take the bolt out of the bottom, correct the boot, and reinstall the top with all the parts then just stick the bottom back in and reinstall the nut and bolt

Good call. I'm going to head to the auto parts store now. Thanks, Casper.

Lots of bolt on chrome stuff
Today I started tearing stuff apart to do more wiring. Last time the dash is coming out, I swear.

Before that I did an oil change in the FJ (1GR like the taco). The oil coming out was fine (I mean it was dark and used but nothing out of the ordinary), but I noticed some milky water-contaminated-looking stuff on the bottom of the fill cap and in the fill port. Anyone know what that's about?

Not a mechanic but I have an 06 so I researched a lot about head gasket failure to learn symptoms...

    So first don't freak out!

Apparently the 4.0L if you drive short distances (10 minutes or less) doesn't get a chance to expel moisture from the engine so it builds up on the oil cap...partly due to the long filler neck.

Check the dip stick and watch temp...you're probably fine.

Dip stick is fine, temps have been fine, but my fiance drives it 2 mins to and from work every day. Sounds like nothing to worry about then?

From my inexpert opinion you're ok!

As with any vehicle, it's better to keep an eye on everything so you can know when something is off.
